Frequently Asked Questions
What types of training are included?

Your pass includes access to instructor-led classes (virtual and in-person) covering legal compliance, human resources, leadership development, and professional development. You also get access to our on-demand library, subject to availability and exclusions, and 6 certificate programs. Employers Council has the discretion to cancel training due to low enrollment and for other business reasons.

How long is the pass valid?

One year from your date of purchase. The initial term begins on the date of the purchase and automatically renews on the anniversary date for additional one (1) year terms. All classes purchased through a Training Pass subscription must be completed while the pass is active or regular pricing will apply.

Can multiple people use one pass?

No, each pass is for one individual. Access to Subscription is limited to the named individual on the Subscription (Subscription Holder). The Subscription cannot be shared with any other individuals. Transfers are not allowed.

Do the trainings provide CEU credits?

Yes! Many of our trainings provide HRCI and SHRM certification credits.

Is this only for members?

Yes, the Annual Training Pass is a member-only benefit. Subscription Holders must be employees of Members. If the Subscription Holder is no longer employed with a Member, the Subscription will be forfeited. If an organization’s membership in Employers Council is cancelled, Subscriptions for employees of the organization are canceled.

What if I can’t attend a class I registered for?

Subscription Holder is expected to comply with Employers Council’s cancellation policy requiring 3 days’ advance notice of cancellations. Failure to provide proper notice may lead to a $100 cancellation fee per occurrence.

What additional exclusions and terms apply to the training pass and on-demand library?

Some Employers Council training content, including conferences, special events, and training provided by our partners, is excluded from the scope of the Subscription, and must be purchased separately.

Customer is subject to, and agrees to abide by, current Subscription fees. Customer will pay the initial Subscription fee at the time of purchase. Renewal Subscription fees are due on the anniversary date of the Subscription.

The information available on or through the Subscription is the property of Employers Council, or its licensors, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Users may not modify, copy, transmit, distribute, display, sell, publish, license, create derivative works, or otherwise use any information available on or through the Subscription, for commercial or public purposes. Subscription Holders may not use Employers Council trademarks, logos, or other marks, for any purpose without the written permission of Employers Council.

Employers Council hereby excludes all representations and warranties whatsoever (whether implied by law or otherwise) relating to training content available through the Subscription. In no event will Employers Council be liable for any incidental, indirect, consequential, punitive, or special damages of any kind, or any other damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, those resulting from loss of profit, loss of contracts, loss of reputation, goodwill, data, information, income, anticipated savings, or business relationships, whether or not Employers Council has been advised of the possibility of such damage, arising out of or in connection with the use of the Subscription.

Subscription Holder may terminate this Subscription at any time. Subscription fees will not be refunded for the current Subscription year. If Subscription Holder terminates its Subscription with Employers Council and elects to continue to attend training, said training will be subject to current member training rates. Employers Council may terminate Subscription Holder’s Subscription for violations of these Subscription Terms and Conditions or in the event Employers Council identifies a conflict of interest between Customer and Employers Council.

We've used onsite trainings yearly for harassment prevention and leadership development. We also send our emerging leaders and current management team to take courses on elements like emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication in addition to traditional topics, like performance management, documentation, and record keeping.
