On March 22, 2019, the U.S. Department of Labor published its long-awaited proposal to update the salary level requirement for employees exempt from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act. If enacted in its current form, this rule would make an additional million American workers eligible for overtime.
