On September 24, 2019, the U.S. Department of Labor published its final rule to increase the salary level requirement for employees exempt from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act from $23,660 to $35,568. This rule is expected to make an additional million American workers eligible for overtime.
