On September 24, 2019, the U.S. Department of Labor published its final rule to increase the salary level requirement for employees exempt from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act from $23,660 to $35,568. This rule may make as many as one million American workers eligible for overtime.
