More than half of Colorado employees are in self-funded healthcare plans. Employers choose self-funding for the flexibility in benefit design and to realize the financial benefits of promoting a healthy workforce.  But those savings don't automatically accrue - even with a "wellness program" in place.  In order to achieve the benefits of self-funding, employers need an evidence-based, multi-year strategic approach.

This class provides self-insured employers with a template for strategically and effectively purchasing healthcare with the goals of improving the quality of care; increasing productivity and engagement; and lowering costs for both the employee and employer.  This session will be structured in two parts.  Part One tests your knowledge of the healthcare marketplace and dispels common myths and misperceptions. In Part Two you’ll learn how to structure effective and innovative strategies into a long term, multi-year plan.
