Objective

Attendees will understand the patchwork of laws popping up governing the issue of pay equity, will have a sense of the different pieces of statistical analysis that go into a pay equity analysis, will understand the basic steps of conducting a pay equity analysis, will be aware of the considerations that must be taken into account before making an equity adjustment, and will gain an understanding of some compensation best practices.

Outline

  • State of the law and current trends (approx 15-20 minutes)
  • Proactive Pay Equity Analysis: What does it consist of, and how can you do one? (bulk of presentation, approx. 30 minutes)
  • Compensation Best Practices (10-15 minutes, delivered by Compensation personnel)
