An effective orientation/onboarding process results in a new hire who develops: competency in performing their job, key relation- ships across the organization, and engagement and commitment to what is most important to the organization. Rather than an event, orientation/onboarding is a process that supports new hires as they develop over time. In this half-day class, participants will learn the essentials for developing an effective program to accelerate job performance, assimilation, and commitment. Participants will walk away with specific concepts and techniques on defining program objectives, best practices, the use of technology, and measuring success.
