In recent years, harassment allegations have surged. Experts predict that 9 out of 10 employers will receive an internal complaint of harassment this year. If not properly addressed, these complaints can lead to decreased employee morale, lower productivity, turnover, poor recruitment, and harm to a company's reputation.  In addition, the EEOC has taken notice of the increase in complaints, and has redoubled its efforts to address harassment in the workplace. Employers should too.

Providing managers and supervisors with appropriate training is one of the key ways an employer can prevent liability for harassment claims, avoid retaliation claims, and promote a respectful work environment. Employers Council's online, self-paced program provides an overview of the fundamentals employees and supervisors need to know to take immediate responsibility for fostering a harassment-free workplace. Through a combination of video lectures, case-studies, and interactive knowledge checks, this class will help employees and supervisors:

  • Differentiate between respectful, inappropriate, and illegal workplace behavior
  • Understand what constitutes illegal harassment
  • Display appropriate behavior in the work environment
  • Understand the elements of an organization's policy against discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
  • Identify employees' and supervisors' responsibilities in maintaining a harassment-free workplace
  • Learn additional state law anti-harassment requirements
