The EEOC's recent Task Force on the Study of Harassment in the Workplace stated that employers' workplace prevention efforts need a reboot. Too many people in too many workplaces find themselves in unacceptably harassing situations. Equal employment opportunity and anti-harassment policies are not enough today. Employees must know what behavior constitutes illegal harassment and how to use their employer's complaint procedure. This self-paced, online program overviews the fundamentals every employee needs to know about maintaining a harassment-free workplace. The content is delivered with a combination of video lectures, case-studies, and interactive knowledge checks. Learning objectives of this online course include:

  • Differentiating between inappropriate and illegal workplace behavior
  • Defining what constitutes illegal harassment
  • Outlining appropriate conduct in the work environment
  • Defining aspects of a hostile work environment
  • Reviewing required elements of an organization's policy against discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
  • Identifying employees' and supervisors' responsibilities in maintaining a harassment-free workplace
  • Reviewing laws relevant to various states
