Legitimate Contract or Wage Fixing? Legal Risks of “No-Poach” Agreements  / 2:00​

The Department of Justice recently filed lawsuits against several companies for using agreements to prohibit other businesses from hiring their employees. Companies that use these so-called “no-poach agreements” face the risk of claims at the state and federal level. This presentation will provide an overview of no-poach and similar agreements, how they implicate anti-trust laws, and tips for employers to help them avoid civil and criminal liability.

Service and Emotional Support Animals in the Workplace/ 2:50​

They’re cute and they’re cuddly, but animals might not always be the most welcome guests in the workplace. Still, in some circumstances, even the least pet friendly workplace may be required to flex a bit to accommodate employees with disabilities. Learn the rules governing animals at work, and what to do when employees ask to bring a service or emotional support animal to the office.
