Coronaviruses aren't new to us. There are different types that can present with respiratory or gastrointestinal symptoms. The 2019 Novel Coronavirus (Covid) was first discovered in a group of pneumonia patients who also had contact with a seafood and live animal market. We don't yet know exactly how the virus is transmitted, but we're quickly gathering information on transmission and symptoms. In this course, we will explain the importance of practicing basic hygiene, recommend ways to prepare for potential infection and quarantine, and provide tips for safe travel. The major takeaway of this course is that you remain calm and stay informed.

In this course, you will learn how to:

  • Recognize ways basic, common-sense hygiene can help protect against infection
  • Prepare in case of quarantine
  • Lessen risks associated with travel
  • Remain calm and stay informed
